Yelling At Clouds is the solo project of Australian musician, Paul Luttrell. Paul hails from Hobart, Tasmania, which is important because not only is it regarded by many of its occupants as the end of the world, its customs and nightlife are the lyrical subject of several songs on his debut album Shut Up, Cloud! Musically, Yelling At Clouds is acoustic based, but softly picked strings often give way to heavy drums and fuzzed out guitars, something that harkens back to the 90s and the productions of Steve Albini and others alike. Yelling At Clouds is not a nostalgia act, but rather an instance of an artist using his influences as a vehicle to deliver an authentic poetic expression.
